The French auction house Artcurial goes on the attack in the world market for collectors' watches: thematic sales, large catalogues and travelling exhibitions for a new generation of international collectors.
The first auction dedicated solely to watches will be held on 30 October 2007 at the Hotel Dassault in Paris. A foretaste, in the meantime, is offered by the auction on 31 July at the Hotel Hermitage in Monaco, with a session (the third) dedicated to a series of 100 Hermès watches, produced by the major Swiss watchmakers: from Vacheron Constantin to Universal Genève, to Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso, via Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin and Lip.
