Although for the organisers these are 'provisional dates', what is certain is that the event - aimed at the media, dealers and VIP customers of the participating manufacturers (it is not yet known whether this year's exhibitors will be confirmed or not) - will be preceded by two events scheduled in China.
The first will be a long-term event that, from October to December 2022, will simultaneously cover two locations on Hainan Island: Haikou and Sanya. While Sanya was already part of the 2020 and 2021 editions, Haikou is a brand new entry. The two events are grouped under the banner of 'Watches and Wonders Hainan', named after the province of which Haikou is the capital. And it is precisely in Haikou that Watches and Wonders will inaugurate a brand new exhibition complex, ready to open its doors in September: a 500 square metre venue that will host workshops, workshops, conferences and special presentations for connoisseurs, collectors and the general public. For the occasion, brands will organise exclusive meetings in their boutiques and set up specially designed pop-up stands. The Sanya event will once again take place at the China Duty Free Group.
The second event will be in Shanghai, 23-27 November 2022, dedicated to a specific audience for each of the five days. The location will once again be the West Bund Art Center: here, collectors, dealers, press and VIPs will benefit from a completely renovated pavilion on a double level.
