The Zeitwerk is a watch with a jumping hour (at 9 o'clock) and minute (at 3 o'clock) display. Launched in 2009, Lange now presents a new variant, featuring the use of Honeygold for the 41.9-mm case and the dark brown hand-sewn buckle of the strap. This is the first 'Lumen' model to be made in this particular honey-coloured 18-carat gold alloy. In addition, this new Zeitwerk has a semi-transparent dial, designed to make the luminescent display of the jumping numerals fully visible: hence the suffix 'Lumen'. On the same dial, in addition to the indication of exactly jumping hours and minutes, the power reserve (at 12 o'clock) and small seconds (at 6 o'clock) are also displayed. This new version is also equipped with a pusher at 4 o'clock, which jumps the hours forward one at a time, allowing rapid adjustment of the time display. The movement used, calibre L043.9 (¾ plate in natural nickel silver, hand-engraved balance bridge and escapement bridge, 462 components, 61 jewels, 18,000 vibrations per hour, balance with eccentric and shock-absorption system), a hand-wound mechanical movement that has been completely reworked, has a 72-hour power reserve, double that of the previous model, thanks also to the use of two barrels. Made in only 200 pieces, the Zeitwerk Honeygold 'Lumen' is available exclusively at A. Lange & Söhne boutiques.
