Compared to the Lange 1 Moon Phase, the 1.7-millimetre smaller version (we are at 36.8 mm in diameter) of this classic timepiece comes in a new variant. The warm glow of the polished rose gold case contrasts with the silver-coloured, guilloché gold dial of the Little Lange 1 Moon Phase. On this model, the moon disc, with its two gold moons, is also silver-coloured. The astronomical complication indicates the period of the Earth's satellite's synodic revolution with such precision that it only needs to be corrected by one day after 122.6 years. Pink gold hands and appliqués elegantly enhance the off-centred dial with its "jumping exactly" Big Date display. The refined colour gradations are coordinated with the white crocodile strap with its pink gold pin buckle. The technical features of the hand-wound L121.2 calibre (411 components, 44 jewels, 8 of which are in screwed gold chatons, 21,600 vibrations per hour), which is based on the Lange 1 calibre presented two years ago, include the characteristic double barrel ensuring a 72-hour power reserve. Beneath the hand-engraved balance bridge swings the large balance with eccentrics with a self-made balance spring. The meticulously hand-finished timepiece reveals itself to be a real gem even through the sapphire glass back. The watch is also available in a more precious version, with brilliant-cut diamonds set on the bezel.
