At the latest edition of the SIHH, Panerai presented an aggressive new model, part of the Luminor collection and characterised, as can be easily guessed from its name, by the black ceramic treatment of the case (44 millimetres) and bracelet. It should be emphasised that the ceramic used by Officine Panerai is of a synthetic type based on zirconium powder, and that thanks to a complex series of processes and finishes it acquires a uniform and homogeneous matt appearance, while guaranteeing the famous hardness characteristics typical of ceramic, which are up to five times greater than those of stainless steel. Even the movement of the Tuttonero Luminor 1950 - 3 Days GMT has undergone a black galvanic treatment, visible through the sapphire crystal on the back. On the movement itself, a Panerai P.9001/B calibre (229 components, 29 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, double barrel), mechanical with automatic winding, the power reserve is indicated, equal to 3 days. On the dial, which is also black of course and of the "sandwich" type, we find baton hands and hour markers treated with an ecru luminescent substance. Equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystal to protect the dial itself and the famous bridge structure to protect the winding crown, the Tuttonero Luminor 1950 - 3 Days GMT is water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres and is priced at € 11,600.
