Inspired by the colour of the waters of the ocean of the same name is the dial of the new Ahoi neomatik 38 Atlantic from Nomos Glashütte.
The dial of the Ahoi neomatik 38 Atlantic watch by Nomos Glashütte. In contrast to the Green luminescence of baton hands and hour markers with Arabic numerals (surmounted by additional yellow geometric indices), ensuring optimal readability in all lighting conditions.
The small seconds hand, positioned in a counter at 6 o'clock, on the other hand, is in red. At 3 o'clock is the date window. The dial itself is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, which has undergone an internal and external anti-reflective treatment.
Elegant and robust the steel case, 38.5 mm in diameter by 9.9 mm thick, with a crown fitted with a red coloured ring to warn its owner when it is not fully screwed in. The crown is also customised and protected against shocks. Water resistance is guaranteed up to an impressive 200 metres, rather high figure for a three-ball with an elegant date.

Like all watches produced by Nomos Glashütte, this new model employs an in-house movement.
Inside the case of the Ahoi neomatik 38 Atlantic beats the patented automatic movement DUW 6101 (14 ½'', 3.6 mm thick), with rapid date change function, highly efficient bi-directional winding rotor and Nomos Swing-System escapement. The rotor is skeletonised and personalised, the plate is ¾ and circular-grained while the bridges are decorated with a Glashütte ribbon motif. The power reserve is approximately 42 hours.
The watch comes with a dark blue water-resistant woven fabric strap with a personalised steel pin buckle. Also available is the steel bracelet. Finally, the watch is offered with a closed back or with a porthole in a sapphire crystal.
