To descend to -171 metres and ascend in three and a half minutes with one breath is an almost titanic feat for us mere mortals. But not for Francisco 'Pipin' Ferreras, class of 1962 and a lung capacity like few others, who in 2003 won his last world record in the No-Limits discipline at those depths in absolute variable trim. With such a palma res and shared Cuban roots, Pipin was the ideal partner for Cuervo y Sobrinos to test and contribute to the technical specifications of its underwater models. A collaboration that started as early as 2021, translated into the Buceador Caribe, a watch that features lively, eye-catching dials in the series models capturing the different nuances of the water lapping the coast of Cuba.
