Born in 2018 from a cornerstone in the history of Jaeger-LeCoultrethe Memovox of 1968, the Polaris collection redefined the sports/elegant watches of the Maison. But not by limiting itself to a single homage to the historical reference of the famous dive model with alarm, atypical because its triple back with openings allowed sound to be heard in the water. But by bringing together an entire line of watches of various types, a perfect blend of contemporaneity and vintage touches. All with manufacture movements, refined dials, new generation cases and a retro touch.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date

The Polaris Date is the most classic and essential interpretation of the typical Memovox Polaris design, both in the dial graphics and the emblematic double crown. One is used to set the time, the other to rotate the inner bezel. With a good waterproof rating as a diver's watch, up to 200 metres.

Jaeger-LeCoultre's mastery of lacquering dials.

The new version of the Polaris Date with a shaded ocean grey dial gives a new, more modern identity to its designa shade obtained through a sophisticated lacquering technique, in which the colour and its nuance are enhanced by the different types of finish, opaline, grené, soleil and spiral to give depth to the dial.

Using thirty-five layers of hand-applied lacquer, the colour is shaded from light to dark. The dial layout features a mix of applied baton hour markers and luminescent Arabic numerals and a date window at 3 o'clock. A few small orange details add a touch of sporty dynamism.

The watch houses in a 42 mm steel case the Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture calibre 899, a self-winding mechanical movement with a 70-hour power reserve. It is fitted with a textured rubber strap, easily interchangeable with a metal bracelet from the Polaris line.
