The Defy Extreme collection descends into the abyss. The inspiration is that of a diver launched in 1969.
The Defy Extreme Diver brings the modern catalogue of Zenith a type that has been missing for some time. A timepiece that traces its roots back to 1969, when in the then fledgling Defy collection with its sturdy, elaborately shaped case, the company produced a diver's watch that exhibited all the right features. Such as the rotating bezel and bright colour details for instant legibility underwater, without compromising on the collection's distinctive design with its angular case and dodecagonal bezel.
The new diver takes shape in the modern Extreme linewhich represents the boldest and most ultra-technical version of Zenith's sports watch, with important technical qualities for a diver's watch. Built to withstand extreme conditions, the watch uses titanium for its 42.5 mm angular case, a material that is lightweight, hypoallergenic and highly resistant to seawater corrosion.

Zenith's Defy Extreme Diver is equipped with a helium escape valvefor saturation diving, and a fixed dodecagonal bezel topped by a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel with fluted edgesfor a better grip even with gloves. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 600 metresjust like the historic Defy A3648 of 1969.
The dial, black or blue, is decorated with engraved four-pointed stars, a distinctive feature of the contemporary Defy line. Indices and hands are filled with three different X1-grade SuperLuminova pigments emitting blue, green and orange luminescence to easily distinguish the various functions.

The Defy Extreme Diver from Zenith meets the requirements of the ISO 6425 standard for professional diver's watchesincluding ISO 764 for anti-magnetism and ISO 1413 for impact resistance.
It is powered by the El Primero 3620-SC high-frequency manufacture automatic calibre, with a 60-hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire back - a rare occurrence for a diver with such high water resistance. It comes with a three-link titanium bracelet and two additional straps, one made of FKM rubber and the other of recycled fishing nets.
