A new fruit of the Omega x Swatch collaboration, the MoonSwatch "Full Moon" is all white and offers the first new complication in the collection: moon phases. All in a Snoopy theme.
In the wake of the success of the Omega Speedmaster inspired by Snoopy, the new MoonSwatch also chooses the image of the world's most famous beagle, Nasa mascot since the 1960s. The Silver Snoopy Award is considered the highest award given by NASA astronauts to very few, chosen from employees and contractors, for outstanding achievements related to space exploration.
A great honour for Omega in 1970: the Speedmaster went to the moon with the men of Apollo 11 and played a crucial role in the rescue of the dramatic Apollo 13 mission, in which the only time-measuring instrument still functioning on board was left following a breakdown. In the new Bioceramic MoonSwatch called 'Full Moon', white is the dominant colour and, like the other models in the collection, has an asymmetrical case, a bezel with a tachymeter scale and a box-shaped crystal made of biosourced material and treated with a scratch-resistant coating.
MoonSwatch: Moon phases arrive
The Snoopy theme, a symbol for Omega since the 1970s, is now also featured on the MoonSwatch.
It is the first MoonSwatch with moon phases, which appear at 2 o'clock on the white dial (a colour that reminds us of the recent launch of the Omega Moonwatch with a white lacquered dial, also in that case with black indices and details). Inserted in the luminous disc of the moon phases is the image of Snoopy lying on the moon. And then, a little hidden detail: a quote from the famous comic strip, 'I can't sleep without a night light!
Again, the case is made of bioceramic, a material patented by Swatch composed of two-thirds ceramic and one-third organic materials derived from castor oil. On the case back is a small battery cover for the quartz movement, which features an image of a full moon inspired by the world of Snoopy.

The white colour is also reflected on the Velcro strapmade in the style of the other MoonSwatches. The MoonSwatch 'Full Moon' will be available from 26 March only in selected Swatch stores.
