Hamilton has a deep connection with the world of aviation. Suffice it to say that as early as 1918 Hamilton watches were chosen to ensure the punctuality of the first US airmail service on the New York-Washington route.
The new Khaki Aviation Pilot collection is intended to underline this strong link, with the launch of seven new models, four in a time-only version with a 36 mm steel case and three with a day-date display and 42 mm case.
For the Khaki Aviation Pilot with a 36 mm case, the choice can be either a black or midnight blue dial combined with a steel bracelet, or a white dial and leather strap in the same shade.
Or again with a midnight blue dial, a case treated with rose gold Pvd and an antique pink strap. The movement adopted is the Hamilton H-10 calibre (ETA-based, 25 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), mechanical automatic and visible from the caseback.
The Khaki Aviation Pilot with a 42 mm case and day-date display is available with a blue dial and steel bracelet, or with a silver dial and light brown leather strap, or with a green dial and dark brown leather strap.
In this case, the calibre used is the Hamilton H-30 (ETA-based, 25 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), mechanical automatic and again visible from the back side.
The dial, which offers optimal legibility in all models also thanks to the SuperLuminova X1 luminescent treatment of the quarter-markers and the partially skeletonised hands, is protected by a sapphire crystal with an external and internal anti-reflective treatment. Finally, all Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot watches are water-resistant to 10 atmospheres of pressure.
