The VO Vintage in 2020 marked the return of watchmaking to Vicenza and, three years and five editions later, it has become a fixed appointment for dealers, collectors and even simple enthusiasts. The setting is that of Vicenzaorobut in a separate space from Europe's largest goldsmith fair, in the foyer on the first floor, accessed from the west entrance of the fairgrounds.
To date, there are more than sixty exhibitors and brands that have believed in VO Vintage and at the January 2024 edition there will be no lack of new entries, such as Tenerife Watches, Mida Gioielli, Ela Antichità, Il Mercante and Gioielleria La Perla, joining the regulars, including Tempus Orologi d'Epoca and Vintage Watches. In Vicenza from 19 to 22 January there will also be L'Orologio, the main partner since 2020 of the watchmaking initiatives of IEG, Italian Exhibition Group, the organising company of Vicenzaoro.
VO Vintage is much more than a market exhibition. Because it is true that there are the showcases, full of valuable watches, each with a story to tell, but what attracts an even wider audience is the cultural side of the event, with talks, seminars, training workshops and technical refresher courses. It is precisely the opportunity to meet some of the world's greatest collectors and watchmaking historians and experts that is the added value of the event.
Inevitable are the talks that will involve the major exponents of the watchmaking scene. Like the one on Friday 19 January at 4 pm, 'Locman. Watches and synergies Made in Italy, organised by L'Orologio, which will feature editor Dody Giussani as moderator. Among the guests will be Marco Mantovani, President of Locman. On the calendar for Saturday 20 January, at 4 pm, the second of the talks curated by L'Orologio: 'Simplifying a complex market', moderator Dody Giussani and speaker Giovanni Prigigallo, Co-Founder & Head of Business Development of the new EveryWatch platform.
