As a partner of the VO'Clock Privé event, from 8 to 10 September, L'Orologio will be the protagonist of various moments of meeting with the public. The appointment is at Vicenzaoro and to participate, simply register on the show's website.
Our director, Dody Giussani, will be the moderator of meetings that will see her in conversation with protagonists of the sector. Beginning with a talk with Andrea Granalli, High End Watches WW Sales Director at Bulgari, on the evolution of the House's watchmaking in the last 20 years (Saturday 9th, at 3pm). Two other interesting appointments are those with representatives of the Norqain (Sunday 10th, at 2 pm) and Speake Marin (Saturday 9th, at 5 pm) brands, two independent Houses that are making their way onto the Italian market, presenting themselves with a portfolio of products with very interesting content, to keep an eye on.
We will also have the pleasure of talking about technique and design with Alessandro Rigotto, founder of Meccaniche Orologi Milano and signature of our magazine, and Ludovic Ballouard, an independent watchmaker; both members of the AHCI will address the theme of design in watchmaking, not just wristwatches (Friday 8, at 2 pm). Finally, we will talk about the role of Italians in watchmaking with Marcello Binda and Mario Peserico, both in the ownership of two leading Swiss companies: Eberhard & Co. and Wyler Vetta (Saturday 9th, at 6 pm).
Other numerous talks, moderated by colleagues and enthusiasts, will also be held from Friday to Sunday. It will be very interesting, for example, to hear Ander Ugarte, Head of Design at Tudor, explain the evolution of the brand's models in recent years. Appointments that will involve the public in unique experiences are the Zenith Watch Clinic, where you can try your hand at disassembling and reassembling the El Primero calibre (ok, not the whole movement, but part of it) and the official courses of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, including the Watch Essential Course, open to enthusiasts of all levels, which ends with the award of an official certificate from the FHH Academy.
On the exhibition side, we would like to highlight the presence of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI), as well as many other brands such as Frederique Constant, Hublot (dealer Cornali Gioiellerie, Bergamo), Norqain, Parmigiani Fleurier (dealer Andrea Concato, Verona), Speake Marin, TAG Heuer (dealer Aldo Tamburini, Rimini) and Zenith. Finally, space will be given to haut de gamme mechanical and artistic creations by Luca Soprana, Romeo Ferraris and A.Favre & Fils and emerging brands such as Kross Studio.
