The art of fusing materials, which embodies what has been the DNA of Hublotled the brand to develop great expertise in the creation of coloured ceramics. In 2019, the company patented the first vivid red ceramic, which was later joined by other intense colours such as blue and yellow.
The colour evolution continues, and for summer 2023 Hublot is producing a version of the Big Bang Unico with a 42 mm case in blue ceramic with a polished and satin finish. The shade, named Sky Blue, enhances Hublot's chronograph, which does not lose its identity, with its round bezel with H-shaped titanium screws and white protective side straps. A combination of shades reminiscent of a beautiful summer's day.
"Every year, for Hublot, summer is a celebration! Sea, air, moving, breathing, laughter and partying with family and friends, the words to describe these desires aroused by the sight of a blue sky are simple and yet they are enough to fill us with a new lease of life. The Big Bang Unico Sky Blue is an energy boost to anticipate before, enjoy during and remember after, the taste of summer 2023!" said Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot.
The skeleton dial, which offers a view of the movement by also showing the column wheel at 6 o'clock, continues the colour scheme: in light blue are the flange with the minute counter and the chrono minute counter at 3 o'clock, inside which opens the date window in white. Hands and hour markers, which seem to float on the plate, are white luminescent.
The movement is the automatic Unico HUB1280 calibre, with a 72-hour power reserve. Produced in a limited edition of 200 pieces, Hublot's Big Bang Unico Sky Blue comes with a double interchangeable strap: one in blue rubber with a white structured striped lining with a titanium folding clasp; one in white calfskin with a Velcro fastening.
