High jewellery, fine watchmaking and luxury good will be auctioned on 24 May at Faraone Casa d'Astea Milano. In addition to jewellery and watches from many important maisons, including Bulgari, Cartier, Omega, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin and Van Cleef & Arpels, there will also be Hermès handbags, for a total of 300 lots.
The wristwatch round is certainly worthy of interest, both for collectors in the room and for those connected via streaming, via phone or via the MyFaraone App. "Best in show", and arrived with the catalogue closed, is a Rolex Daytona Special Edition (Ref: 1165994RU), with case and dial embellished with pavé diamonds and rubies carré, followed by a Rolex Datejust "Ovettone" with a yellow gold case and millerisk bezel, from the 1950s.
To the same period belongs a hand-wound Patek Philippe Lady, with a 14 mm case in 18-carat yellow gold, with a black rat-tail strap and an original case. To the previous decade belongs a Vacheron Constantin Ref. 47245/00R, 2005, perpetual calendar with automatic movement, in rose gold, with original case and guarantee.
As far as jewellery is concerned, the line up is headed by a ring with an octagonal-cut Colombian emerald weighing approximately 21.70 carats and with two triangular diamonds on either side. This is followed by a pair of dangling earrings with two old-cut diamonds at the ends, respectively weighing 4.45 and 4.65 carats. flanked by a pair of platinum and white gold earrings with teardrop and shuttle diamonds, totalling about 18 carats.
Closing the first afternoon round, a solidarity parenthesis should be noted: Faraone Casa d'Aste in fact married the initiative of the jewellery brand Crieri, which provided two bracelets. The first is a seven-strand bracelet in burnished gold with black diamonds (totalling 9.65 carats) and colourless diamonds (2.65 carats); the second is a three-strand bracelet in white gold with diamonds totalling approximately 4.50 carats.
The proceeds of the sale (which will also include a selection of original prints of the collages created by Anna Chiara Gianuzzi for the brand's new communication campaign) will be entirely donated to the non-profit organisation Me.Dea - anti-violence centre, which provides assistance and support to women who are victims of violence and abuse, as well as actively promoting information, prevention and awareness campaigns on this delicate subject.
