After the silver and terracotta variants, Louis Erard is extending the range of one of the flagship models in its Excellence collection, the Petite Seconde, with three colours inspired by contemporary haute horlogerie codes: midnight blue, violet and ice blue.
Midnight blue marks the return of a great classic, a colour that is part of Louis Erard's long history.
With the Purple, the House takes a decisive step forward, almost subverting the codes of contemporary watchmaking.
Ice blue is a colour very much in vogue today among mid-high-end watches: used on both the dial and the grained calfskin strap, it is combined for this version alone with a further splash of colour, the dark blue of the hour markers, hands and strap stitching.
All three dials share the same features. From the 39 mm steel case, which has been aesthetically reworked, to the sapphire crystal case back that showcases the movement used: the Sellita calibre SW261-1, a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of around 38 hours.
Same layout for the dial, with the outermost satin-finished ring framing the central, more opaque section and a discreet small seconds dial located at 6 o'clock. The entire collection is in a limited series (between 100 and 150 pieces per year) and the price of each version is CHF 2,222.
