Blue and beige are the predominant shades in this new version of the Commander Big Date from Mido. The first colour mentioned first of all characterises the sun-brushed dial, on which the double aperture at 6 o'clock for the big date window stands out.
In navy blue is the woven fabric strap with curved edges, the stitching of which is beige. The latter colour also stands out on the hands and indices, which are treated with SuperLuminova.
The 40 mm steel case is combined with a domed, facetted sapphire crystal, has a polished bezel and satin-finished lugs, and is fitted with a mineral glass porthole in the screwed case back.
This, of course, makes visible the now famous Mido 80 calibre (based on ETA C07.651, 28.8 mm diameter, 5.86 mm thick, 25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), equipped with a Nivachron balance spring and with a personalised oscillating weight and
decorated with côtes de Genève. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 5 atmospheres of pressure.
