Referring in its name to 'cenotes', this new and original dive watch from Swiss Reservoir. The word cenote, which comes from the Mayan language (and means 'sacred water'), indicates the natural freshwater caves that have formed as a result of the collapse of the limestone roof. The fall of the latter allows the formation of these special and impressive caves.
Reservoir's Hydrosphere Cenote has a green dial with a sunburst effect, a colour that echoes that of the crystal-clear waters of the cenotes, and features a jumping display, decidedly atypical in dive modelling (but one of the salient features of Reservoir's models), combined with a retrograde minute hand. At 6 o'clock, there is a linear power reserve indicator. The bezel with ceramic insert is unidirectionally rotating, and the 45 mm case (with helium escape valve) is made of bronze. The case back, secured with screws, is made of steel.
Water-resistant to 250 metres, the Hydrosphere Cenote is powered by the new RSV-240 calibre (based on the La Joux-Perret G-100), a self-winding mechanical movement with a patented 113-element module and a power reserve of 45 hours.
The watch, available from December both online at Reservoir (www.reservoir-watch.com), which is available from the company's selected dealer network, is combined with a green Nato strap. An additional rubber strap is included in the package.
