In the late 1990s, the Speedmaster X-33 marked the birth of a new series of quartz multifunction chronographs developed under the guidance of General Tom Stafford, the former Nasa astronaut of the Apollo X. In production until 2006, the X-33 was reintroduced in 2014 in the new Skywalker version in collaboration with ESA.

In 2022 comes the latest evolution: the Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer, a 45 mm chronograph in grade 2 titanium that brings us closer to the new frontier of missions to Mars. Like the Skywalker, it has a multifunction analogue and digital display with various functions such as MET (Mission Elapsed Time), PET (Phase Elapsed Time), alarms and perpetual calendar, thanks to the thermocompensated quartz calibre 5622.
