Hublot has an innovative yet respectful approach to watchmaking, a high-tech factory with two buildings in the small town of Nyon, on the shores of Lake Geneva, amidst the vineyards of La Côte. The first of the two, dating from 2009, occupies an area of around 6,000 square metres on six levels and contains the executive offices, product development and marketing departments, workshops for assembling the movement, casing, assembling hands and bracelets, as well as the grand complications and quality control and research and development departments.
The second, inaugurated in 2015, has 8,000 square metres and is connected to the original building by a walkway: it is largely dedicated to the production of components for manufacturing movements and the production of cases, but also houses the setting, decoration, electroplating and surface finishing departments; other facilities in the building include administrative offices, after-sales service and the staff canteen.
Thanks to an integrated foundry, Hublot devotes considerable resources and development to the creation of new materials such as Magic Gold, carbon fibre, sapphire and brilliantly coloured ceramics. And it is also active in the field of sustainability, as demonstrated by the recharging stations for cars and scooters, the photovoltaic solar panels and the eleven beehives from which honey is harvested twice a year and then packaged and given to customers and friends of the brand.
