Launched in 2021, the Chronomaster Sport in the same year won the prize in the 'Chronograph' category at the GPHG, confirming it as one of the most popular sports chronographs. Recently, the Le Locle-based company expanded the collection with four new versions, two with a pink gold case and bracelet, one two-tone (steel and pink gold) and a special Boutique Edition.
The latter, available exclusively at Zenith physical and online boutiques worldwide, employs a 41 mm cone and a polished/satin-plated bracelet made of steel. The bezel, with its engraved and enamelled 1/10th of a second scale, is composed of three coloured ceramic elements in the typical colours of the El Primero counters, namely grey, anthracite and blue. The movement used is the latest evolution of the El Primero, the 3600 calibre, a high-frequency automatic mechanical movement (36,000 vibrations per hour) capable of measuring tenths of a second, with the central chrono hand completing one revolution of the dial in 10 seconds.
Commenting on the success of the Chronomaster Sport, Zenith CEO Julien Tornare said: "In just one year, the Chronomaster Sport has become one of the most sought-after modern chronographs and a fundamental pillar of Zenith, combining the company's unique expertise in high-frequency chronographs with a distinctive aesthetic. Today we are proud to expand the collection with new versions and materials, which add another dimension to the Chronomaster Sport."
The other new versions of the Chromaster Sport are made with a case and bracelet entirely in pink gold (with a white or black dial), as well as a variant that combines pink gold (for the bezel, crown, pushers and central links of the bracelet) with steel. All Chronomaster El Primero watches are guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres.
