A descendant of the trilogy of astronomical clocks made almost forty years ago by Ludwig Oechslin, the Blast Moonstruck with worldtimer mechanism reproduces the rotational motion of the Moon, the apparent motion of the Sun around the globe while observing it from Earth, and a tide map. This is all thanks to an easy-to-read display and a sophisticated mechanism that ensures that the time is displayed at a location chosen from the world's 24 main zones. The watch thus offers the functions of hours, minutes, date, precision moon phase display, days of the lunar month, tide coefficients, world time and a second time zone. Equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre UN-106 (335 components, 42 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 50-hour power reserve), visible through the sapphire crystal porthole on the case back, the watch uses a 45 mm case in black ceramic and black DLC titanium, a colour that is also reflected on the strap, available in alligator, velvet or rubber, and combined with a folding clasp in pink gold and black DLC titanium. Water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres, the Blast Moonstruck by Ulysse Nardin is produced in a limited edition.
