On 30 November, in live streaming, Faraone Casa d'Aste will offer for sale, in three separate rounds, 54 prestige watches, 95 pieces of fine jewellery and 56 lots of luxury vintage, including 46 Gucci handbags. Rolex seems to be, in terms of number of items offered, the main protagonist of the auction dedicated to watchmaking: in fact, a GMT-Master Gilt Tropical Dial Ref.1675, year 1966, a Sea-Dweller Ref.1665, year 1983, an Oyster Perpetual Turn-O-Graph "Red Triangle" Ref.6202 year 1953, also like the previous ones with steel case and bracelet. Also under the Rolex brand, a Daytona Ref.16523 with diamond indexes, year 1997, case and bracelet in steel and 18-carat yellow gold, followed by two Patek Philippe Calatrava models and an Ellipse, as well as various Vacheron Constantin watches from the 1940s/50s and other vintage watches.
In the high jewellery round, two oversize brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing 7.37 ct and 10.47 ct respectively, and a rectangular octagonal D colour step-cut diamond weighing 3.59 ct with a CISGEM certificate will go up for auction. A pair of late 1920s 18-carat white gold earrings with old cut diamonds, weighing approximately 10.65 ct. in total, an 18-carat white and yellow gold ring with a Colombian octagonal minor oil emerald, weighing approximately 6.65 ct, a gold necklace with teardrop and heart-shaped, rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing a total of about 100 carats, and a pair of Colombian, octagonal, minor oil emeralds, weighing a total of 2.59 carats. The space for 'art jewellery' is filled by a collection of jewellery by Giorgio Facchini, all featuring geometric elements, including an 18-carat yellow gold band bracelet with adularia and chalcedony cabochons interspersed with strands of micro-pearls, an 18-carat yellow gold band ring with rubies, sapphire and emerald, an 18-carat yellow gold brooch with red-orange corals and sapphire, and an 18-carat white and yellow gold band ring with a brilliant-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.80 ct.
Finally, Faraone celebrates the Gucci Maison's centenary with a 1950s/60s collection of 46 handbags that have belonged to and been loved over the years by a single customer and will be auctioned off in the closing round entirely dedicated to luxury vintage. This will be followed by unfailing items by Hermès and Cartier and, to close, three jewels that belonged to the famous Genoese photographer, the "visual journalist", Giuliana Traverso.
