It was November 3, 1991 when Ayrton Senna won his sixth victory of the season and third Formula One World Championship title in his career at Adelaide, following two victories in 1988 and 1989. Senna became a TAG Heuer ambassador in 1988, and one of the models the Brazilian champion loved to wear was the S/EL chronograph, to which the new model on display here pays tribute with its special embossed design on the black leather strap, which recalls the 'S' motif typical of the steel links on the bracelet of the aforementioned watch. There are several details in yellow, the iconic colour of the driver from São Paulo, such as the Senna logo with the double "S" on the ceramic bezel on a tachymeter scale, the stitching on the strap and certain elements on the dial, including the same logo that we also find at 6 o'clock. The 43 mm case is made of sandblasted steel with black DLC treatment and houses a quartz movement with chronograph functions. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 20 atmospheres. Finally, on the screw-down case back is an engraving of Ayrton's helmet, accompanied by the engraving "Senna Special Edition".
