The Tonda Metropolitaine Sélène from Parmigiani Fleurier was launched in 2016 and was immediately a hit with the female public. The 33.7 mm pink gold case is embellished with a bezel set with 76 brilliant-cut diamonds (equal to 0.52 carats), surrounding a white mother-of-pearl dial with a lotus flower design in the centre, a symbol of femininity. Also on the dial, at 12 o'clock, is the moon phase display. The watch, which is available with a calfskin (pictured) or alligator strap, as well as a pink gold bracelet, is powered by the IWC-manufactured PF318 calibre (26 mm diameter, 4.7 mm thick, 205 components, 28 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour), visible from the back side, mechanical with automatic winding and a 50-hour power reserve.
The Tonda PF Micro-Rotor, for its part, is an elegant three-hand model dedicated to the male audience. The Tonda PF collection was presented this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the company, and the Micro-Rotor version (available with a 40 mm case and bracelet in steel or pink gold) is powered by the manufactory-made PF703 calibre (30 mm diameter, 3 mm thick, 176 components, 29 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour), a self-winding mechanical movement with a micro-rotor. The grey dial is guilloché engraved with a Barley Grain motif and features 18-carat pink gold Delta hands and hour markers, as well as a date window at 6 o'clock. The bracelet, made of the same metal as the case, has a personalised folding clasp with safety push-buttons.
