Eberhard & Co. is launching two new versions of the Scafograf 300 MCMLIX, featuring a blue dial and ceramic ring on the unidirectional rotating bezel. The Roman numeral 'MCMLIX' is a clear reference to the year the first Scafograf was launched in 1959. Today, the Scafograf is one of the Swiss watchmaker's flagship models, and in 2016 it even won the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in the 'Sports Watch' category. The shade of blue was not chosen at random, as it is the Maison's official colour. On the aforementioned blue dial (with a matt finish and protected by a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal) are hands and hour markers with "vintage" luminescence, as well as a date window at 3 o'clock. The 43 mm steel case is guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 30 atmospheres and has a helium escape valve at 9 o'clock. The new Scafograf 300 MCMLIX with its blue dial and bezel is available with a brown water-repellent leather strap in a vintage look with blue stitching or with a steel Chassis bracelet with Déclic clasp.
Prices2,430 euros (with leather strap); 3,120 euros (with steel bracelet).
