This new Dream Watch 5 from De Bethune, named Tourbillon 'Season 1', was the result of a 'challenge' issued by the American rapper, producer and talent scout Swizz Beatz to De Bethune founder Denis Flageollet (visible together in the photo in the gallery published below). The American artist contacted the company last year, asking for a Dream Watch 5 that would be totally different from those previously produced. The result, before your eyes, is indeed the new Dream Watch 5 Tourbillon 'Season 1', with its futuristic 58 x 47 mm ogival case made of blued grade 5 titanium fitted with numerous panes of glass, offering a different view of the watch. On the dial, protected by hardened mineral glass, the hour and minute indications are entrusted to a window for the jumping hours at 3 o'clock and a disc for the minutes; in the centre, there are the moon phases, displayed through a sphere made of palladium and blued steel and characterised by an error equivalent to one lunar day every 1,112 years. As the watch is turned, the DB2149 manufacture calibre (30 mm diameter, 356 components, 36 jewels, 36,000 vibrations per hour, 4-day power reserve), a self-winding mechanical movement, comes into view thanks to the use of sapphire crystal inlays. This calibre, equipped with a 30-second tourbillon device, has a silicon escape wheel and balance spring and a titanium balance with gold adjustment screws. The winding crown, located at 3 o'clock, is adorned with a set blue sapphire. The leather and textile strap (a second rubber strap is included) is combined with a blued titanium pin buckle.
