The Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 from Mido is inspired by a model presented by the company in the 1960s and distinguished by the presence of the decompression time scale on the dial. The 41.5 mm case with a polished surface finish is guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 20 atmospheres and houses the Mido 80 calibre (based on ETA C07.621, 11½'' diameter, 5.22 mm thick, 25 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), a self-winding mechanical movement. The unidirectional rotating bezel has a turquoise-coloured aluminium ring with a sexagesimal scale and luminescent reference pointer. The watch is sold in a special case, including two additional leather straps, one turquoise and the other brown. With a box-type sapphire crystal protecting the dial, the new Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 Limited Edition (produced in a limited edition of 1,961 pieces) will be available from 1 November.
