The Angelus diving tourbillon

A newcomer to the Angelus family, the U53 tourbillon is capable of reaching depths of up to 300 metres. Declined in shades of khaki green, used for the graduated rotating flange, the rubber strap and the luminescent hands, it features a 46 mm case with a helium escape valve at 9 o'clock for saturation diving, and a double screw-down crown at 2 and 4 o'clock for the rotating flange and for winding and setting the time respectively. Resistant to magnetic fields, the watch is made entirely of grade 5 titanium, a light and comfortable metal that is very well tolerated by the skin, even in humid conditions, and whose hardness prevents most scratches. The bezel is unique, with its shark fin design, a motif also echoed on the flange. The U53 differs from the classic type of diver's watch in the highlighting of its movement. It is the Angelus calibre A-300, a skeleton hand-wound mechanical movement characterised by large transversal bridges, an openwork in the centre that echoes the specific design of Angelus calibres, the one-minute flying tourbillon and the slightly asymmetrical arrangement of all its components: barrel at 1 o'clock, winding at 4 o'clock, tourbillon at 6:30, small seconds at 9:30. This diver's watch is presented in a limited edition of 25 and comes with an additional hand-sewn Nato-type strap. On sale at CHF 39,400 excluding tax.
