Vacheron Constantin's Overseas collection takes on new aesthetic codes with two new versions called "Everest", a dual time and a chronograph, each produced in a limited edition of just 150 pieces. Inspired by the highest peak on the planet, the Overseas "Everest" chronograph and the Overseas dual time "Everest" pay tribute to adventure and surpassing one's limits. This vision is embodied to perfection by American explorer and photographer Cory Richards, one of the talents chosen by Vacheron Constantin for its "One of not many" communication campaign. In 2019, the American mountaineer undertook his third ascent of the "roof of the world" along the North-East ridge - considered to be the most difficult and dangerous route - wearing an Overseas dual time specially developed by Vacheron Constantin. This watch now lends its aesthetic codes to the two new "Everest" Overseas. The new models, characterised by the iconic hexagonal bezel whose design is inspired by the Maltese Cross (the Maison's logo), are distinguished by a new combination of materials, where titanium and steel alternate. In particular, the case, crown and push-button guards are in titanium, while the bezel is in steel and titanium. Also catching the eye are the finishes, which are satin-finished and polished for the case, polished for the push-buttons and micro-blasted for the bezel, crown and push-button protectors, echoing the grainé finish of the dial. The anthracite grey tones contrast with the lustre of the bezel ring, which is made of stainless steel. As for the dials, these new Overseas feature a grainé finish with orange details, a shade that matches the stitching on the Cordura strap with suede calfskin lining. In addition, these Overseas are equipped with an interchangeable strap system, which makes it possible to change from the Cordura strap to the rubber strap (supplied with the watch) without the need for tools. The two watches differ in case diameter (the chronograph measures 42.5 mm, the dual time 41 mm) and in the movement used, in both cases self-winding. They are the 5110 DT/2 calibre for the dual time and the 5200/2 calibre for the chronograph, both made in-house and bearing the Geneva Hallmark. The new Overseas "Everest" watches are available exclusively from Vacheron Constantin boutiques.
