Ulysse Nardin and the Monaco Yacht Show

To mark the 175th anniversary of its foundation and to celebrate its return to the Monaco Yacht Show (held from 22 to 25 September) after a year's forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 emergency, Ulysse Nardin has launched two new limited editions, a Diver with a titanium case and a Marine Mega Yacht with a pink gold case. Ulysse Nardin and the Monaco Yacht Show, of which the Maison has been an official sponsor for over 10 years, share the same passion for the sea, excellence and innovation. In this idyllic setting in the Mediterranean, Ulysse Nardin therefore presented two new watches, the Diver Monaco Yacht Show and the pink gold version of the Marine Mega Yacht. The first mentioned, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, has a sapphire crystal porthole back that opens to view the in-house automatic movement calibre UN-150, with silicon escapement and 48-hour power reserve. The watch is characterised by details in red: from the flange to the seconds sphere, the counter hands and the date. Just below 12 o'clock is the inscription 'Monaco Yacht Show'. The case, bezel (with rubber ring) and logo element on the rubber strap are made of titanium. Water resistance is guaranteed to 300 metres. Built in the same spirit as a luxury mega-yacht, the new Marine Mega Yacht with its rose gold case, for its part, is made in a special edition of just 30 pieces. The movement is equipped with a flying tourbillon device, whose cage recalls the shape of a ship's propeller. Closely related to the mega-yacht concept, this timepiece features a 3D dial, enamelled with the "grand feu" technique. The same dial, besides obviously showing the time, also reveals an accurate representation of the moon with a very detailed surface, a sophisticated tide indicator across its full width and an anchor raised by a chain connected to a mechanical device positioned at 12 o'clock to indicate the power reserve. The movement used is the calibre UN-631 (37 mm diameter, 504 components, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), mechanical with manual winding.

Prices11,300 euros (Diver 44 mm Monaco Yacht Show); 266,800 euros (Marine Mega Yacht 44 mm).
