As the Official Performance Partner of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, a role it has held for the past two years, Mido presented its new Ocean Star 600 Chronometer at the 2021 final stage in Polignano a Mare. Highly anticipated in this competition, which saw the 24 best cliff divers in the world - 12 women and 12 men - compete last 26 September, the Italian cliff diver and Friend of the Brand of Mido, Alessandro De Rose, took third place. The features of the watch, the brand's only one designed to withstand a pressure of 60 bar (600 m/1,968 ft), include a steel case and bracelet, a blue ceramic bezel with SuperLuminova Grade X numerals, offering lasting luminescence for optimal readability in all conditions, the useful helium escape valve, and a lacquered dial with a gradient that changes from blue to black, recalling the colours of the deepest waters. At its heart is the Calibre 80 Si, a Cosc-certified self-winding mechanical movement with silicon balance spring and a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Price: 1,490 euros.
