It takes its inspiration from a Lincoln Cosmopolitan Town Sedan from 1949 (and owned by Jörg G. Bucherer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company) the new Heritage BiCompax Annual Lucerne. This particular vintage car originally belonged to Jörg's father, Carl Eduard Bucherer, who in turn was the son of Carl Friedrich Bucherer, the company's founder. In 1949 this Lincoln won the Public Prize at the Concours d'Excellence International in Lucerne. The car greatly impressed the young Jörg, who was only 13 years old at the time. The car was sold in 1952 and has had several owners over the years; however, in 2013 Jörg G. Bucherer himself bought it back. Bucherer bought it back, restoring it to its former glory. The watch dedicated to it (and which is also a tribute to the city of Lucerne, where the company is based) is a chronograph with an annual calendar, whose dial picks up (in the counters and on the flange) the blue colour that characterises the aforementioned family car. The new Heritage BiCompax Annual Lucerne, produced in a limited edition of only 188 pieces, has a steel case 41 mm in diameter by 14.15 thick, water-resistant to 3 atmospheres. Inside is the calibre CFB 1972 (30 mm diameter, 7.3 mm thick, 47 jewels, 42-hour power reserve), mechanical with automatic winding. The watch comes with both a steel Milanese mesh bracelet and a blue calfskin strap, both with folding clasp and quick-change system.
