In the year of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Maison, Parmigiani Fleurier presents the new Tonda PF collection, featuring models in a time-only, chronograph or annual calendar version. In this space, we focus precisely on the latter complication, displayed on the anthracite guilloché-engraved dial by the retrograde date display (indicated by the crescent-tipped hand in the centre) and two counters, for the month at 3 o'clock and for the day at 9 o'clock. It should be noted that the annual calendar does not require corrections at the end of months lasting 30 or 31 days, but does not recognise the different durations (in leap years and otherwise) of the month of February, which the watch mechanism always considers to be 30 days long. At 6 o'clock, there are the precision moon phases (in the two hemispheres, North and South), which do not require any correction for 122 years. The Delta hands and geometric, hand-applied indexes are made of gold in both versions. The movement used, visible from the case back side, is the PF339 calibre (27.1 mm diameter, 5.5 mm thick, 359 components, 32 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 50-hour power reserve, bridges decorated with côtes de Genève and finished with anglage, 22-carat gold skeleton rotor), mechanical with automatic winding. The new Tonda PF Annual Calendar is available with a steel case combined with a platinum bezel and a steel bracelet, or with an 18-carat rose gold case and bracelet.
Prices35,000 Swiss francs (case and bracelet in steel, bezel in 950 platinum); 70,000 Swiss francs (case and bracelet in 18-carat rose gold).
