We are approaching the opening date of the first live watchmaking event of this 2021: the Geneva Watch Days, which will be held from 30 August to 3 September in the Swiss city. The event will bring together some 20 brands, with locations in various Geneva hotels, manufactures and boutiques. A sort of off-show without a salon, as I already called it last year, on the occasion of the first edition.
The only shared venue is the exhibition area at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, where a few moments of aggregation will also take place, with cocktails and dinners. The event will be hybrid, so also online. For example, yours truly, unable to travel on those dates, will follow the brand presentations via zoom.
There is a lot of curiosity surrounding the success of the second edition, which should be less affected by the Covid situation (at least one hopes). Among the companies that have confirmed their participation are Bulgari, Breitling, De Bethune, Gérald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., MB&F, Ulysse Nardin, as well as Parmigiani, Urwerk, Arnold & Son, Czapek, Doxa, Ferdinand Berthoud, Frederique Constant, Maurice Lacroix, Oris and Reuge.
