Marine style for the Runabout
by Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant unveils two new Runabout Chronograph Automatic watches adorned with a blue dial, a nod to the sea that evokes the initial partnership between the brand and the Riva Historical Society (RHS), an association of amateurs and collectors of the famous Italian boat. In a limited edition of 888 pieces for each of the two versions, one with a steel case and the other plated in pink gold, the watch boasts a guilloché motif, a trademark of the Runabout collection, surrounded by a satin-finished hour disc with luminescent Arabic numerals and large luminous hands for optimal legibility. The date window stands out at 6 o'clock, along with the chrono hour counter; the chrono minutes are at 12 o'clock, the continuous seconds at 9 o'clock and the chrono seconds in the centre. The design is completed by a navy blue calfskin strap with ivory white stitching. The caseback is engraved on one side with the limited edition number and on the other with an original serigraphy on the sapphire crystal representing the official flag of the Riva Historical Society. Through the transparency of the caseback itself, one can admire the details of the FC-392 calibre, mechanical with automatic winding, which guarantees a power reserve of 55 hours, a novelty for Runabout timepieces that until now offered up to 46 hours of autonomy. Price: €2,490 for the steel version; €2,690 for the pink gold-plated steel version.
