The star of Franck Muller's new Grand Central Tourbillon collection is the tourbillon placed in the centre of the watch rather than in its original position at 6 o'clock. A complex construction, which required the manufacture's designers and watchmakers to completely rethink the timepiece and find an innovative way of positioning the hour and seconds hands around the tourbillon cage itself, highlighting its beauty. An extremely rare occurrence for a Franck Muller watch of this type, the Grand Central Tourbillon is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre FM CX 40T-CTR, with an eccentric micro-rotor offering 4 days of power reserve and fine finishing that can be admired through the opening in the case back. As for the case, it has been redesigned by totally modifying the characteristic Cintrée Curvex appearance so that the sapphire crystal reaches up to the strap, thus giving greater visibility to the dial. In addition, the bezel, now separated from the case, allows for impressive two-tone treatments (also available in tone-on-tone with the metal of the case).
