A limited edition of only 20 pieces for L'Instantanée S&A x LIP, a watch made by Semper & Adhuc in collaboration with the historic LIP brand. One of its main features, apart from the fact that it is a model produced almost entirely in France, concerns the movement used, the mechanical hand-wound LIP R100 calibre, a jewel of miniaturisation that is part of a series of movements produced by LIP from 1958 to 1970 and that has been restored for the occasion. Housed in a case measuring 37 millimetres in 316L steel with a satin finish, it is partially visible through a small opening in the centre of the case back. The Semper & Adhuc logo stands out both on the latter, together with the LIP logo, and on the crown, which is only partially knurled and positioned either to the right or to the left of the case. On the dial, inspired by that of a 1970s LIP chronograph, we see the great return of the double signature (in the past, LIP had already had the opportunity to sign dials side by side with other prestigious brands). Also underlining the collaboration between the two companies is the words 'Ateliers français' at the bottom, instead of the singular 'Atelier français'. For the manufacture of the strap, Semper & Adhuc turned to Vincent Jacquinot, a Bordeaux-based craftsman specialising in leatherwork. The watch is on sale for 2,400 euros.
