Corum - Admiral 45 Automatic Openworked Flying Tourbillon Carbon & Gold

The Admiral collection, one of Corum's workhorses, was launched 60 years ago. The watch, inspired by the world of regattas (the original model, the Admiral's Cup, was in fact named after the regatta of the same name), is also famous for its dodecagonal bezel and the nautical flags on the dial, elements that are still present today. The flagship of the new collection is the Admiral 45 Automatic Openworked Flying Tourbillon Carbon & Gold. This watch, produced in a limited and numbered series of 48 pieces, sports a 45 mm case made of a totally new material for the brand, namely a combination of floating layers of ultra-light carbon and 18-carat gold glitter, making each case unique. The skeleton movement, equipped with a flying tourbillon device, is the CO 298 calibre, developed together with a Swiss partner. It is a self-winding mechanical movement (11 ½'' diameter, 37 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 72-hour power reserve), visible both from the dial side and back. The Admiral 45 Openworked Flying Tourbillon Carbon & Gold is fitted with a rubber and synthetic fabric strap with gold stitching. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 10 atmospheres of pressure.
Price: 59,800 euro.
