The new generation of Royal Oak Offshore debuts in a 43 millimetre version and represents the first redesign of this model since its evolution in the early 2000s. The case, available in titanium, steel or 18-carat rose gold, features larger polished bevels on the edges, while the bezel, screw-down crown and chronograph pushers are slightly curved for greater visual impact. With the exception of the all-titanium version, the other timepieces in the collection sport a two-tone ceramic bezel. The dial with its "Méga Tapisserie" motif has also been redesigned: the pyramids that compose it are connected to each other with a protruding cross motif that adds depth to the whole, and the squares that complete the pyramids have been finished with satin-finishing to match the aesthetics of the case. In addition, the minute counter now appears at 9 o'clock, the hour counter is positioned at 3 o'clock and the small seconds counter is at 6 o'clock; the date display has been moved closer to the flange between 4 and 5 o'clock. The watch also features the new Royal Oak Offshore logo that adorns all the new models in the collection. The movement has also changed: it is the manufacture's in-house integrated chronograph, Calibre 4401, a self-winding mechanical movement with a column wheel and flyback function that allows the chronograph to be restarted without first stopping or resetting it. It also features a vertical coupling system that prevents the hands from jumping when the chronograph is started or stopped, as well as a patented resetting mechanism that ensures that each of the counter hands is reset to zero without interruption. Last but not least, this model is equipped with the new interchangeable rubber strap system, in black, blue, grey and brown, which allows the wearer to change them very easily thanks to a special double pressure system. Two additional beige or brown calfskin straps and a black alligator strap are available.
