The flagship creation of the Haute Horlogerie Chopard collection, the perpetual calendar with astronomical moon phases L.U.C Lunar One is available in a new limited series of 25 in 18-carat rose ethical gold. On the multi-layered, dark blue dial with its sunburst decoration, the indications are distributed as follows: day of the week and day/night hours at 9 o'clock, month and year cycle at 3 o'clock, small seconds and moon phases in a revolving window (orbital moon) at 6 o'clock, large date at 12 o'clock. This orbital moon imitates the celestial star's path across the sky with astronomical precision and a deviation of only 57.2 seconds between two lunations. Only after 122 years will a deviation of one day from the true lunar cycle become apparent and only then will an adjustment be necessary. The driving force behind this model is the self-winding mechanical calibre 96.13-L, one of the jewels in the crown of the Chopard Manufacture: it always shows the correct date whatever the length of the month and with the exception of February.
