Zenith's new Chronomaster Sport collection marks the beginning of a new era for the sport-chronograph par excellence. The watch is powered by the new high-frequency El Primero 3600 calibre (mechanical with automatic winding, 36,000 vibrations per hour, 60-hour power reserve), which offers even more performance and precision than its predecessor: note the display of tenths of a second chronograph seconds by means of the hand in the centre and the hour-markers on the black ceramic bezel, a unique feature of this watch. A worthy descendant of the Chronomaster collection, this new line of chronographs reveals its exclusive heritage through a highly refined dial and an integrated steel bracelet. Featuring a 41 mm steel case water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres and with pump-action chrono pushers, the Chronomaster Sport is thus distinguished from its predecessors mainly by the aforementioned polished black ceramic bezel and the use of the new calibre. The watch is available in two references: regardless of the colour of the dial - black or white - both feature the characteristic El Primero chronograph counters in three colours - blue, anthracite and light grey - just like the A386 model from 1969. Each counter (for chrono seconds at 3 o'clock, chrono minutes at 6 o'clock and continuous seconds at 9 o'clock) is graduated over 60 units for intuitive and instantaneous reading. The Chronomaster Sport is available with an integrated steel bracelet similar to those designed by Gay Frères, creator in the past of many metal bracelets for Zenith, which is well suited to the modern and timeless aesthetics of this chronograph. In addition, a version with a textured rubber strap with a "cordura" effect is also available, with a steel folding clasp equipped with a security system.
Prices: 9,700 euros (with steel bracelet); 9,200 euros (with vulcanised rubber strap with 'cordura' effect).
