Jaeger-LeCoultre - Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano

The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano, produced in a limited edition of 190 pieces and featuring a burgundy red dial and a 47 x 28.3 mm pink gold case, pays tribute to a timeless design. Launched in 1931, around the time of the Art Deco period, the Reverso was created to meet the needs of the new trendy "sporty gentleman" - and more particularly polo players. A skilful integration of form and function, with its clean lines and tilting case, it became one of the world's most famous watches. Presented in 1994, the Duoface features two opposing dials displaying different time zones, thanks to the use of the hand-wound calibre 854A/2, with a 42-hour power reserve. In order to maintain the perfect integrity of the case design, the second time zone is set with a slider inserted in the upper case band and is completely invisible except when the case is released from the cage to tilt it. In order to maintain the original design of the Reverso, the hours on the first dial are indicated by bar hour markers (double at 12 o'clock). The design of the second dial plays on the tension between circles and straight lines, with contrasting decorative finishes. The dotted texture of the clous de Paris guillochage contrasts with the shimmering finish of the central hour display and the smaller circle showing the day-night indication. The dial workings are finally balanced by the warm tones of the rose gold case, which in turn is enhanced by the two-tone strap. Inspired by the leather and canvas boots it creates for summer polo matches, Casa Fagliano decided for the new strap to combine Cordova leather with canvas - cutting and stitching each piece by hand, as usual. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano is a limited edition of 190, exclusively for boutiques.
