Breitling's third watch produced in collaboration with Outerknown, a sustainable clothing company co-founded by Surfer Squad member Kelly Slater: this is the Superocean Heritage '57 Outerknown, a dive model available either in a version with a steel case and bezel or in a limited edition of 500 with an 18K red gold case and bezel. Both share a bronze-coloured dial with arrow-shaped hands and oversized hour markers, water resistance to 10 atmospheres, a mechanical self-winding movement, Breitling calibre 10, with a 42-hour power reserve and Cosc certification, and a brown Nato Outerknown strap made of Econyl thread, a material derived from discarded nylon recycled from abandoned or lost fishing nets, underlining both companies' commitment to keeping oceans and beaches clean. The only difference between the two fittings concerns, as mentioned at the beginning, the material used for the bi-directional rotating bezel with concave black ceramic lug: steel in the first case and 18-carat red gold for the second.
