Since 1845 (i.e. for a good 175 years), Glashütte has been producing exclusive manufacture timepieces. A more than valid reason for the launch of a special edition of the NOMOS Lambda, the Lambda - 175 Years Watchmaking Glashütte, with a mechanical movement set to chronometric standards. This special edition in a limited series of 175 pieces per dial (white, black or blue) in a steel case combines the richness of traditional watchmaking with sophisticated precision instrumentation: haute horlogerie, now in a new steel case. The latter, 40.5 mm in diameter by 8.9 mm thick, is fitted with a sapphire crystal porthole on the back and is water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres. The dial, protected by sapphire crystal, features blued-steel flush hands, as well as a power reserve indicator (equal to 84 hours) at 12 o'clock and small seconds at 6 o'clock. The movement used is the IWC-manufactured DUW 1001 calibre (32.1 mm in diameter, 3.6 mm thick, 29 jewels, hand-finished and hand-decorated), a hand-wound mechanical movement, which bears the engraving "made with love in Glashütte" on the barrel. Price: 5,800 euros.
