Omega presents a new Speedmaster, designed to celebrate its partnership with the Swiss team Alinghi, winners of two America's Cups, in 2003 and 2007. The watch comes in a 44.25 mm case made of black zirconium oxide ceramic, with the Alinghi logo found both on the chronograph start/stop button (at 2 o'clock) and at 6 o'clock on the dial, where there is a rotating disc made of sandblasted and anodised aluminium, dedicated to the chronograph hours. The calibre 1865 (hand-wound mechanical), visible through the skeleton dial and from the back side, has been laser ablated to create a honeycomb effect on the main plate and barrel bridge, while the other bridges feature a black carbon motif. All these details recall the hull of Alinghi's TF35 catamaran. The classic tachymeter scale on the bezel is camped with Super-Luminova. Also noteworthy are the first five minutes highlighted in red in the chronograph minute counter at 3 o'clock, which is crucial at the start of regattas. The black perforated strap is made of rubber, with red stitching. Price: 10,300 euros.
