TAG Heuer presents the new Carrera Sport Chronograph

To mark the 160th anniversary of its founding, TAG Heuer is unveiling a number of new redesigned Carrera chronographs powered by the Heuer manufacture movement 02. Following the launch of two limited-edition models as part of its anniversary celebrations, the Carrera 160 Years Silver and Montreal, the Swiss watchmaker is now unveiling four new models. The TAG Heuer Carrera, which was launched in 1963, has thus been revisited in a new range of models. The new versions, named the Carrera Sport Chronograph, feature shorter lugs for greater comfort, and the 44 mm stainless steel case has alternating polished and satin-finished finishes that make the watch appear sleeker and slimmer. The aesthetics are enhanced by the more integrated and slightly bevelled crystal. The dial of the new TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph has a circular satin finish and is available in blue with a matching ceramic bezel, light olive green with a stainless steel bezel, or in one of two black versions (one of which features 18K 5N rose gold or plated with the same precious material), each paired with a black ceramic bezel. The flange is bevelled and the hour-markers are inclined towards the centre of the dial. The dials are perfectly legible, as is the date window at 6 o'clock. The new bracelet with its H-shaped links is thinner, making it slightly lighter and more ergonomic. In any case, the "highlight" among these new Carrera watches is the model with a black dial combined with rose gold elements. Its black ceramic bezel is adorned with rose gold lacquer, a first for TAG Heuer, while the crown and pushers are in 18-carat rose gold. The oscillating weight, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, is in black PVD-coated brass with rose gold printing. This timepiece comes with a classic black leather strap. TAG Heuer's new Carrera Sport Chronographs are water-resistant to 10 atmospheres. Prices: €5,450 (with steel bracelet); €6,200 (with alligator strap and rose gold detailing).
