Scintilla divina, Inno alla gioia, Amata immortale, Fidelio. These are the names of the four new versions of Tetra, the classic square model from the NOMOS Glashütte manufacture. NOMOS Tetra is one of the first mechanical wristwatches made in Germany, and certainly one of the best known. A winner of numerous awards, Tetra is now available in four new colours: copper (Tetra Divine Sparkle), olive green (Tetra Ode to Joy), turquoise (Tetra Immortal Beloved) and dark blue (Tetra Fidelio). All four are powered by Alpha, the hand-wound calibre made by NOMOS that has been most widely used and tested by the Glashütte manufacture over the years. The sapphire glass back allows one to admire the precise and reliable movement. Together, these four exclusive timepieces form a harmonious quartet. Their names pay tribute to a man who - just like NOMOS and just like Glashütte - has always best represented Made in Germany, an obsession with quality and a passion for timeless classics: Ludwig van Beethoven. In autumn this year, the 250th anniversary of the great composer's birth will be celebrated. His work is even older than the historical watchmaking tradition of Glashütte, which in 2020 celebrates 'just' 175 years. And it is here in Glashütte that NOMOS, one of the few still independent watch manufacturers, makes its mechanical watches, combining German engineering skill, exceptional product design (in the tradition of the Bauhaus and the Deutscher Werkbund), and above all the watchmaking tradition of Glashütte. These three excellences give NOMOS watches a high level of quality in every respect. To date, NOMOS timepieces boast over 150 awards for design, quality and value for money. Coloured versions of the Tetra are also a true NOMOS Glashütte tradition: for several years now, these ladies' models have been presented in limited editions - and only for short periods - in special colours. The watches in the Tetra Sinfonia series will be available at authorised retailers from the end of February at a price of EUR 1,660.
