Longines goes back to the 1930s

Longines revisits a characteristic 1930s model with a sectorial dial: The Longines Heritage Classic. In the centre, the opaline silver-plated disc stands out against the slender blued steel hands. The hour circle, with Arabic numerals and hour markers, occupies the surface of the circular satin-finished silvered disc. The hours are delimited by a thin rim, also silvered opaline. The dial is also distinguished by the size and special position of the small seconds counter, in the spirit of absolute fidelity to the original model. To achieve this, the watch houses the exclusive new calibre (L893.5) with silicon balance spring: the absence of a date in this self-winding mechanical movement, designed for the Héritage line models, has made it possible to lower the small seconds from the central axis to respect the design of the historical models. The stainless steel case, 38.50 mm in diameter, displays a contemporary dimension that echoes the proportions of the elegant 1930s timepieces. This model is completed with a blue leather strap or a semi-matt black leather strap with beige stitching. In addition, both declinations are delivered together with a Nato strap in anthracite or blue denim-effect leather. The straps are interchangeable and can be easily replaced with the special tool with which each model is supplied. The price is 2,050 euros.
