The G-Shock GA-2000 is a light and robust watch, thanks to its Carbon Core Guard structure: the carbon protection provides improved shock resistance in a weight of only 64 grams. The case back is perfectly integrated into the case thanks to a first layer in steel and a second layer closing the case in fibreglass resin. A push-button-activated LED lighting system makes the dial readable even in the dark. This model is also the first G-Shock equipped with interchangeable straps, thanks to a simple release system.
